PeTa claims killing 97% is OK because “not Cruelty”

 2005: PETA has euthanized animals for years. In 2004, the activist group euthanized 2,278 animals, sterilized 7,641 and found homes for 361……but that was “then”…..the numbers adopted out in the most recent report, have dropped even further………to finding homes for only 12 (twelve) animals, thus bringing PeTa’s kill rate to a whopping 97% killed. PETA killed 1,942 of the 1,960 cats, finding homes for only 2. Likewise, PETA killed 988 of the 1,030 dogs, finding homes for only 8.

PeTa then tries to have their attorney take aim at the bloggers, trying to say that bloggers are defaming PeTa, because bloggers claim that only adopting out 12 animals is not exactly kosher for an animal “saving” group.   PeTa claims that all the dogs/cats they killed “were not adoptable”;  It seems rather incredible that over several years, PeTa’s “save rate” has consistently gone down, to the point that they are killing nearly every animal they agree to take in (which is not returned to owner.)

NORFOLK, Va. (AP) –Dumping the bodies of dead dogs and cats in the garbage is wrong, but the president of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals said Friday that animal cruelty charges against two employees won’t stick. [and Newkirk was right...]

We have to give PeTa one thing—it’s shocking all right, BUT both employee workers, this YEAR, after PeTa appealed the case, were convicted, it appears—of  absolutely “nothing” , since the littering charge was overturned and dismissed by the Appeals court. 

We cannot emphasize this point too much: PeTa is NOT in the business of saving companion animals.  They believe all homeless dogs/cats should be killed.  The ridiculous absurdity of the entire PREMISE of PeTa’s alleged “save animals” campaign is blatantly transparent:

  PETA IS NOT IN BUSINESS TO ACTUALLY “SAVE”  ANIMALS

  PETA IS IN BUSINESS TO ELIMINATE HUMANS FROM OWING OR USING ANIMALS  

While Newkirk might admit it was “shocking”, she surely did not say it was against their policy to kill animals.  In fact, quite the opposite—PeTA is actually known for killing companion animals, they are known for wanting all pitbulls to be killed, they are known for wanting all animals to be liberated—meaning humans should not own pets, because animals are not to be OWNED.

Groups like PeTa and other misguided groups which believe that humans should not OWN animals are behind  and advocate for:           

          ALL MANDATORY ALTERING LAWS,  BREED RESTRICTION LAWS, AND ALL LAWS WHICH WILL AFFECT/OR STOP THE BREEDING OF ANIMALS—no matter how good a breeder may be.  Since they  believe animals are NOT property–ARs proposed in 2007  via AB1634–that OWNERS OF A PUPPY LITTER, WOULD be FORCED TO GIVE ALL PUPS AWAY FOR FREE. 

Such laws keep popping up only due to ONE reason:                                  

All of the laws have the same intention behind it, and that is basically to eliminate the breeding of dogs…… (if they were really concerned with cats, they would have drafted the law so it affects feral cats, which they did not do–and it is FERAL cats that make up the bulk of shelter killing) 

CONTRARY TO WHAT THE ARs “TELL THE PUBLIC”–  PLEASE TELL EVERYONE YOU KNOW and pass this on.

EVENTUALLY WHEN ENOUGH PEOPLE KNOW, THE TRUTH WILL SURFACE AND IT WILL NOT BE QUITE SO SIMPLE FOR THEM TO GET TO LEGISLATORS TO MAKE ABSURD LAWS.   WHAT IS TRULY AMAZING, IS THE FACT THAT A LOT OF THE PUBLIC DOES NOT EVEN KNOW WHAT pEtA IS ABOUT.
