SB 917 California, passed in July 2011
It turns selling/giving away of animals into “abuse” and
says that “non profits” are all exempted from the “abuse” law–
even though Penal Code 597 re “abuse” applies to all entities including
shelters, rescues, caretakers, owners, etc.
The law must be stopped via lawsuit!
