The Pet Industry is one of the largest in the United States, rivaling the Toy and the Candy industry, it is now at least $42billion, even in recsession. Animal rights would like to see the pet industry collapse, and the owners not own animals or pets (since they believe it is slavery.)
HR669 to BAN Nonnative Wildlife by Defenders/HSUS et al: Bill to Ban all non native species of fish/reptiles/birds/guinea pigs/ferrets/etc
What we, as the public should be asking ourselves:
1. WHY does HSUS get excessive consideration just because they have 16 attorneys working on all the Anti-Pet, Anti-Commerce, Anti-Economy, Anti-Money laws?
2. HOW does HSUS have any credibility when HSUS hires known felons for employees, lies in Court, lies to the public, uses deception at every turn? When the HSUS actual agenda is actually Animal Rights?
3. WHERE does HSUS get the right to conduct search/seizure, make up quasi legal authority, and help to keep drafting bad laws that require LAWSUITS TO OVERTURN?
4. WHEN is the public going to wake UP and figure out that HSUS is nothing but Animal Rights Extremists, cloaked in the disguise of animal “welfare”, deceiving people by using known propaganda methods, known media strategies, known manipulative/subterfuge methods, and outright LIES?
5. WHEN will the GOVERNMENT wake up and QUIT LISTENING TO ANIMAL RIGHTS HSUS WHO IS FILING 200, 300, 500 ANTI PET LAWS?! HSUS IS CLEARLY TRYING TO detrimentally ruin the interstate commerce, the pet trade, and pet businesses in general. One would have to be an idiot to not see this.
PD Note: We can see that ARs are organized in pushing ANTI-Pet Commerce, and every time HSUS+Defenders of Wildlife, Defense of Animals etc FILES a law, they all PILE on like a bunch of zealot clones. Unfortunately some govt officials believe them. Our job is to raise the truth and show outrage, not agreeing with them. It is a sad truth that many animal welfarists believe that HSUS is doing the “right” thing. This is a completely FALSE belief and indicates they are not properly informed of facts.
———————————————————————————
The lifestyle of “Animal Rights” is a very focused belief with an emotionally based, zealous and determined push behind it. Many of the zealots are never going to stop, and the closest thing I can compare it to is the middle Eastern zealots that kill themselves to bring glory. Animal extremists have stepped up their antics as of late and are now injuring people, and threatening them and harming kids. This happened in CA already, in a home invasion. And animal extremists have been indicted on both blackmail and extortion charges.
So groups like HSUS try to appear “non radical” and hide their actual hidden agenda, or intent. But the intent always remains the same, same, same.
And that hidden agenda is to dismantle the Pet Industry. If animals, fish, birds, reptiles, farm animals, dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, etc—- cannot be owned, bought, sold, traded, bred, raised, whelped—then we are looking at a HUGE economic loss.
And that’s what the animal rights extremists WANT–because they all believe that animals are not property, and should not be bought, sold, traded, or made the subject of any business. Not an animal business. Extremists even have the nerve to tell the public that you can sell pet “accessoires” but you cannot sell a dog, cat or bird. How stupid is that?
Well apparently the animal rights extremists all believe it. So they want to stop it and HSUS+friends comes into the picture, and makes hundreds of proposed laws, year after year, which in effect are often Anti-Pet laws. Guess WHAT? Laws that interfere with interstate commerce without a compelling government interest are not necessarily valid. That is why HSUS keeps trying to MAKE UP health or safety reasons to get around the compelling state interest hurdle.
But due to the photoshop type eye candy pictures, videos, websites, and media marketing, much of the public think they are donating to save whales or seals. This is not so, because HSUS already has endowments in place which cover a lot of that expense. HSUS attempts to get monthly donations from the public, by showing the sappy poor kittie, poor doggie, poor 3 legged dog, poor birdie, etc, etc, yet HSUS doesn’t own animal shelters, and doesn’t really help animal shelters unless they give a grant to build an animal shelter, but HSUS is not a no kill fan.
Most of the legal challenges to the HSUS advocated laws are in Federal Courts (mostly because HSUS keeps moving them to Federal Courts) and involve consitutional issues such as free speech, equal protection, and of course the Commerce Clause. Beware–HSUS is in 20-34 states across the nation, pushing laws for Anti-pet provisions. You can see many of those attempts in the posings on this site, or find the legislative page on the AKC website.

I love your blog. We need more speaking out against the wrongs of the HSUS Peta and all the mind clones. Who feel that it is ok to generalized a large diverse group into horrible defamatory terms. I am eye witness to Rescues buying directly from breeders posing as Pet Stores. To resale them as puppy mill rescues. Mind they are buying the cheapest puppies and the ones with known defects. I have even seen them collect donations on dead puppies.
I read how they sell, on one of their websites. They say the adoption fee is so much because they have them micro chipped and vetted and vaccine. Well the breeders do that before she gets them. Then she keeps them in squallier. heartbandits is a huge organizations with chapters in over 20 states. I know USDA breeders who sold puppies thinking they were going to a pet store only to received checks from local humane societies and SPCA’s .
Another concern of mine. Something that just makes you go HUM! Spay and Neuter has become so popular. Even in rural areas you do not see non descriptive Mutts . Yet the rescues who market away from the Purebreds have shelters filled with these mixes that really have no obvious source. I can understand a few non descriptive mutts being made. But not in the numbers they are being advertised. I seriously believe they are breeding them somewhere.
Lets hope we have more information sharing so the public can wake up before big brother AR takes away our rights to own and love animals.

I hate HSUS! They are making millions to fund there company’s campaign but yet hardly any of that money is actually going toward helping shelters and funding more. Our nation will be greatly affected if they rise against. I for one will not obey their laws no matter what. We have to crate our animals and put them in fences. Because if there was nothing there, than the livestock and your other animals will not be safe because they are more prone to getting attacked. I really don’t like HSUS.
