International Society for Animal Rights—How you can Help animals by wiping them out? Dogs that is. Nothing stated about cats.
Below is the ISAR PR they published in 2009, and then below that are some of the regulations they want to use, to end all sales and breeding. We suggest you pass this forward— this is not HSUS, but it’s definitely older AR for sure, but not with PETA type wack jobs.
ISAR’s Model Statute Regulating Dog Breeding, Facilitation and Sales
ISAR’s Model Statute’s imposition of tough regulations on breeders, facilitators and commercial retail sales outlets is unapologetically draconian. This is ISAR’s intention and goal, because only in this manner can the dog-trade’s participants’ appalling, and often illegal, conduct be regulated out of existence once and for all.Clarks Summit, PA (PRWEB) November 17, 2009
PD note: **There is absolutely no truth nor evidence to prove this, and it is highly unlikely that it could ever be proven, since no one even KNOWS exactly how many shelters or rescues, or other individuals, are actually recycling or KILLING animals by means other than blue solution. AND notice he says DOGS– and doesn’t say cats, which make up more than 50-60% of animals killed in shelters, usually shelters in the USA. AND NOTE: CATS ARE LEFT OUT BY ISAR, BECAUSE BREEDING CATS FOR A LIVING OR HOBBY– HAVE EXPENSIVE CATS WHICH DO NOT GO TO SHELTERS. Anyone who knows the pet trade will realize that few if any commercial kenneled dogs go to shelters–they can easily be sold on the open market. BECAUSE people want these dogs, the demand for such dogs cannot ever be met by non profits BUYING adult dogs at auction, and then claiming they are rescued and cost $500. OH– unless the ARs are trying to ensure a captive market by driving UP the prices? ————————————————————————–
Professor Holzer also states, “At this very moment, literally countless numbers of dogs, certainly hundreds of thousands, are held captive around the world in wretched conditions, while being used and abused as living breeding machines by breeders, facilitators and commercial retail sales outlets.” “Because much of that abuse occurs in the United States, and because ISAR’s self-imposed mandate is the protection of animals, ISAR has prepared a comprehensive Monograph containing its Model Statute Regulating Dog Breeding, Facilitation and Sales. In effect, ISAR’s Monograph is a brief in support of its Model Statute.”
“ISAR’s approach to the dog breeding problem is revolutionary because its goal is to end virtually all breeding of dogs in the United States and to prohibit the importation of canines bred elsewhere.” (http://www.isaronline.citymax.com/f/monograph_puppy_mills.pdf) “ISAR’s Model Statute’s imposition of tough regulations on breeders, facilitators and commercial retail sales outlets is unapologetically draconian. This is ISAR’s intention and goal, because only in this manner can the dog-trade’s participants’ appalling, and often illegal, conduct be regulated out of existence once and for all.”**
**PD: Really? OUT OF EXISTENCE? Rather than to target offenders, let’s just lump every minority into a gang, every old person as senile, every large person as morbidly obese, and every handicapped child as schizoid? Who are we kidding here? Below are links that ISAR pushes, whereby they design “statutes.”
