We knew it would happen. HSUS tries to ban sales of eggs and meat if the animals that produced the eggs/meat were confined in ways HSUS (and other ARs).. don’t “LIKE.”
What we see here, is the same thing as the Pet stores cannot sell commercial kennel bred animals???? Well how can we sell millions of products when they are all hand made with child slave labor from China or wherever??? What is the difference?
THIS IS FOR WAYNE P. OF HSUS……………………..THIS WON’T BE MURDER…..THIS IS NON CONFINEMENT
PEOPLE– …. This is actually a constitutional law question.
WHY should it be illegal to sell food because you don’t like what happened to the process or method that produced it? If someone doesn’t like it then don’t buy it.
If this was to PASS— the next law will be no meat sales, because the animal was killed. Why not? If you don’t like confinement, why should you like killing?
This is likely just as dumb as PETA suing Seaworld and claiming the whales have constitutional rights.
this could be wayne in a crate since the dog must not be confined………..
Note (from Feedstuffs) online: Such a ban for reasons other than public health and safety also would seem to be a violation of the Constitution’s Commerce Clause, which gives Congress the power “to regulate commerce with foreign nations and among the several states ….”
In a 1994 case, the U.S. Supreme Court found that a Massachusetts tax on milk products, along with a subsidy program for in-state dairy farmers, violated the Commerce Clause because it hindered interstate commercial activity by discriminating against non-Massachusetts citizens
